Secure Payment Systems Signs Licensing Agreement to Provide Wireless Gift Card Products

Retailers and consumers to manage gift card transactions using mobile phones

(San Diego, CA) Secure Payment Systems (SPS), a national leader of value added payment services and transaction processing, as well as a national gift and rewards card processor, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a processor licensing agreement with Transaction Wireless LLC., a pioneer in wireless solutions for commerce. Under the agreement, Transaction Wireless will perform its first processor integration with SPS to build a wireless transaction system that lets consumers redeem and manage prepaid gift cards using their mobile phones.^SM

Transaction Wireless has developed a wireless application that allows consumers to buy and send gift cards, request balances, combine balances from multiple cards, add funds to cards, and more via their mobile phone. Both retail merchants and consumers will be able to easily enhance gift cards with personalized images, audio, and video, thus creating positive, custom-tailored consumer experiences that emphasize versatility, ease of use, and convenience.

For merchants, the gift card transaction platform will become a powerful communication and branding tool. By making it easy for consumers to opt-in the system enables retailers to develop one-to-one marketing opportunities and build customer intimacy programs.
